Want to know more about what is taking place during Values week? Our colleagues in Nationale-Nederlanden, Support functions and NN Investment Partners have combined forces to create this programme of Values week activities. As our values support an open conversation, the activities focus on supporting you in your communication. So read on to find out how you can connect with colleagues, and: Let's talk!

Are you represented? (EN)

What can you as an individual do to make yourself represented within NN? In this session we will ask you to consider what and who you identify as, what common ground you have with your colleagues, in your team, or in the NN Group Management Board. We will discuss if you feel supported at NN for who you are and what you are representing.

(HP: 12:00 - 13:00 8/10)

Art walk & talk
(NL + EN)

Free your mind, get to know your colleagues and get fit! We will pair you up with a colleague and send you off on one of our art walks. On the text signs next to each artwork, you will find a discussion question for you and your walking partner. Facility Management and the NN Group Art Collection have joined forces to connect: the high rise to the low rise, your fitness to your workday, you to your colleagues, and you to our collection.

Call centre sessions (NL)

How often do you talk with our customers? This is something our colleagues in the NN Contact centres do over 1.2 million times a year. We invite you to listen to the calls they action: whether it is a login issue, a question about our products and services, or a request or complaint, these colleagues are the representatives of NN. This activity is available at multiple locations for the different business lines.

(DP, HP, TP: every day, available hourly.)

Courageous conversations (NL)

Do you have the heart to have courageous conversations with your manager or colleagues at work? In a lot of working environments colleagues tend to avoid difficult conversation topics or avoid giving feedback. And that’s a waste. Each conversation at work can be an opportunity to grow or at least to stop losing energy over the weekly team meeting, or the performance review.
The workshop courageous conversations touches upon several conversation topics.
After the workshop you will have a better understanding of how to be more effective in conversations and how to have more truthful or meaningful conversations.

Mind full? Or Mindful?
(NL + EN)

In our fast-paced world, we race from moment to moment, relying on ingrained habits and old routines. To give more direction to your life, it is important to live from your core values. You will discover tools for both work and your everyday life, to free up more space for what you really care about.

Speeddating: talk to the other generation (EN)

NN Young Professionals is organising an event for both young and more experienced professionals. Experienced professionals (>35) may have more experience or be in a role with more responsibilities, but they may still like to gain insights from the next generation. While young professionals (<35) may be full of energy with fresh insights, they don’t necessarily know how to make their ideas happen. In this event, you can share experiences, motivate your colleagues and learn from the other generation.

(HP: 15:00 - 16:00 7/10)

Unconscious bias (EN)

Just what is unconscious bias? Our brains receive more than 11 million pieces of information, but it can manage only 40. To handle all this information, our brain takes shortcuts when making decisions or judgments. Sometimes these shortcuts make sense, and sometimes they don’t, and sometimes they can unconscious influence decisions.
During the workshop we will discuss different types of biases and try to unravel the biases that you might have.
